My good friend Mike is joining me on an adventure starting in San Diego, California, heading north through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Canada. Then south back through Washington, Oregon, and California. I'm going to lower the bar and say that this trip will be ok... that way it will easily exceed my expectations!
My 1993 Toyota Sea Breeze, aka The Olive Express, is about ready to go. I'm trying to pack her light so we'll have plenty of room for hitchhikers. As a side, I really wish we grew up in an era where hitchhiking was safe in this country. My wife asked me to promise her that we wouldn't pick any up, so we're working on a compromise for females only... she's laughing now. I really do want to pick up hitchhikers...seriously.
I wanted to partake in something global or humanistic for our trip, i.e. collecting a bag of litter wherever I go or planting a sapling or something, unfortunately, I'm drawing blanks. If anyone has any good ideas, I'm interested.
We are leaving Saturday morning... any last takers? We'd love to have you. First stop, Vegas.
