Spent last night at Little Creek Cove in Newport, which was a nice section of mini dunes and beach break.

Portlandia
Weather aside, Portland is hot! It's mellow, semi urban, free spirited, and has gourmet food and beer at Value Prices. A big thanks to Lexi, Jacob, Jess, and Evan for showing us the ropes.
The Dexcom glucometer says its ok for Lexi to get down on some delicious cherry pie from the Honey Pot.
I'm a believer... Steph took down the Blazer at Cackalack's fried chicken.,, I opted for some Norwegian cuisine at Viking Soul Food.
We hit up Vincente's Pizza and the Space lounge for some fun. The Space lounge has pirate night every third week... We may have to delay our departure
Got the Elvis Pressly. A big ole' biscuit with peanut butter, Nutella, and Banana... PDX, you and your craft ways will be missed! Off to the coast. I'm going to try real time on this blog thingamagigy.
Ps. We drove by Bikini Brew... Yes, a cute girl in a hot bikini brewing and serving coffee... To protect the guilty, I will not post a pic ( truthfully, I wasn't able to snap a shot in time).

Twin Peaks & Lewis and Clark
So I just finished watching David Lynch's Twin Peaks (circa 1992) and wanted to geek out on the old set. Short of the falls and the timber, nothing was the same. The Great Northern Lodge was now the Salish for example. Nevertheless, it still is a scenic destination.
Snoqualime Falls, aka Twin Peaks... I visited here 25 years ago. The Great Northern Hotel sat just to the left of the falls.
Victoria BC
We spent the afternoon in Victoria and had a nice time. Victoria was a nice change of pace from Vancouver... A smaller city feel, yet had some old world charm.

Ehh, take off hoser!
I'm pretty sure Canadians are the nicest people I've come across. Everywhere we went we were welcomed with warm, genuine smiles and conversation.

Biking in a circle
Vancouver is very modern metropolitan city. We wanted to stay closer to the action, but it was tough finding parking so we stayed 10 minutes outside of the city in a place called Burnaby.
We took our bikes on the skytrain into the city and began our tour at the waterfront.
